TV: Cheney on Dateline, Arenass ex-fiancee on Basketball Wives LA

Though the name is deceiving, you don't have to be the wife of an NBA star to be cast on reality series "Basketball Wives LA" (VH1 at 8 p.m.), which chronicles the lives of wives, girlfriends, fiancees and exes of basketball players. The show stars Laura Govan, ex-fiancee of Gilbert Arenas, along with her sister, Gloria Govan (engaged to Matt Barnes of the Lakers) and others.
Doesn't it seem like just yesterday that Hines Ward was given the hideous mirror ball trophy and crowned the winner of "Dancing With the Stars"? Anyway, in the middle of "Bachelor Pad" (ABC at 8), "DWTS" hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke announce the cast for the season starting in September. As for the "Bachelor Pad" episode, more dignity is lost when the contestants submit themselves to a kissing contest and vote on who has the best lips.

The final six chefs on "Hell's Kitchen" (Fox at 9) see who can whip up the best dish in 30 minutes and, later, serve food at a charity gala for the American Cancer Society and American Humane Association.
The family lawsuit on "American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior" (Discovery at 9) is settled after months of battle, though things still aren't so merry between the competing bike shops.
Former vice president Dick Cheney sits down for the first of a two-part interview Monday night on "Dateline" (NBC at 10) and talks to Jamie Gangel about his new book before going on the "Today" show live Tuesday. The hour-long prime-time show also features an interview with country singer Miranda Lambert.

MTV debuts two shows starting with "Ridiculousness" (at 10), in which Rob Dyrdek finds absurd clips online and makes fun of them — starting with people having trouble balancing on pogo sticks. Then, mockumentary horror series "Death Valley" (at 10:30) shows what would happen if an Undead Task Force roamed the streets and hunted down vampires and zombies.
